Very First Oil Painting by John Rocheleau
| The oil painting below is John's very first painting. The idea for the composition was borrowed from a Rembrandt painting. There was a good reason for beginning with such a challenging piece. First, John like's a challenge, and second, he spent many years living in London England where he would spend many hours in the National Gallery at Trafalgar Square. The Rembrandt room left an indelible impression. The inspiration was a good one to begin painting. |
